Flick is apparently suffering a near terminal case of cranial rectal inversion. . .
If you get a General Under Honorable instead of an Honorable, you will not get you GI Bill benefits. The legislation is clear - you must receive an honorable discharge.
That whole "Wait six months and your discharge will be upgraded" is, shall we say, caca de toro. To get the characterization of your discharge changed, you'll have to petition your Service's equivalent of the Discharge Review Board or Board for Correction of Military Records.
Those Boards don't change characterizations "just because." Unless there was an error of fact, process, or law, you won't be granted relief, and your Under Honorable Conditions will stand.
whether all people which have a primary Discharge (decrease than Honorable circumstances), is eligible for the GI invoice. all people that's discharge with different than Honorable (OTH) or under is exempt. primary Discharge remains an honorable discharge.
plenty of people do....army NCOs like to scare soldiers who are getting kicked out...just wait 6 months after you're discharge and u can get your FULL GI Bill....it takes alot to not get any benefits from the military if you get kicked out...my friend who pissed hot is getting out under honorable and is getting his GI Bill 6 months later...
