I have a 12 year old daughter who has been 12 years old since October 24, 2012. She is 4'9" and weighs 58 lb. She's in the 6th grade and is probably the smallest girl in her grade. She hasn't really developed breasts yet, and her doctor isn't concerned about her getting her period anytime soon. She's worried though. She knows a lot of her friends wear bras and she wonders why she doesn't. I'm not sure what to tell her. She said she's tired of being so tiny. What should I do?

I am not sure what you mean- what should you do? What can you do? The process takes as long as it does! I was her size going into 7th grade, but shot up dramatically between 15 and 17. I did not get a period until I was almost 17, but I had a perfectly normal adulthood, and a daughter who followed the identical path.
She is just a late bloomer, and that is not a medical issue. She will be grateful when she is grown, she will probably look younger than her years and age more gracefully than her peers. By all means, buy her a bra if she wants one, it will make her feel better. I was always the smallest in my classes until high school, but I ended up 5'7", and like I said- my daughter was the same.
She'll be fine mom!
they say puberty is commencing youthful those days, yet 7 is amazingly youthful. once you're noticing breast progression, that's extra probable a case of nutrition plan and workout. The pulling in her abdomen couldn be transforming into pains, a abdomen computer virus, muscle aches from well being club classification or many different issues. As for the crying and not listening, nicely... she IS a female! My daughter is likewise 7 and that i'm noticing that this seems the age while she is uncovered to extra mature ladies at college. She has been "testing" some unusual habit like back-talk and strategies-set. I purely make it sparkling that I won't stand for it. I additionally shrink what she watches on television; some girly shows sell that kind of habit. you have gotten the opt to make beneficial each and everything is all perfect at college. yet assuming all is unquestionably, i could doubt that puberty could initiate this quickly. supply her time to advance out of this point. If she does not seek for suggestion from the familiar practitioner.
I'm almost sure that her friends haven't developed any breasts either they just wear bras for the sake of it. And she is 12 then it's normal to not have "any" breasts.
There's nothing you can really do unless you really really wanna do something about it, get her a small sized bra that she can wear.
I remember how it used to be like for myself too.
Well tell her that it's actually healthier to start periods and general development at 13 to 15 years old. Impress on her the fact that it's healthier.
Tell her it is a sign of good health. The other girls are developing because they have consumed food full of hormones that causes their bodies to develop sooner then they should which means she is growing up just the way she is suppose to grow up (if you are a Christian then "growing just the way God intended').
You should explain to her, that she doesnt have to be so sad, because yeah, she's in her curious stage. And everyone must be treated her like a normal teen now, since she is wondering already.
Get her some training bras to wear. She could still wear bras if she wants to.
No, not yet.
When she starts puberty, she will grow breasts, get her period and grow pubic and underarm hair.
TELL HER NOT TO WORRY MY NIECE IS 6 MNTHS OLDER THAN MY DAUGHTER AND IS SMALL. MY DAUGHTER ALREADY REACHED PUBERTY AND SHE HASNT. EVERYONE GROWS AT DIFFERENT RATES.
