Australia did not win WWI - the Allies, of which Australia was a part, won the war. Do some research on how WWI ended, but to get a realistic idea of what happened read British or Australian websites - not American. Australia was part of the British Empire at the time, and Britain was one of the nations that won the war.
The other thing is that the way that the British government misused the lives of many of the ANZACs (Australia-New Zealand Army Corps) during the Gallipoli campaign helped give some strength to Australian and New Zealander calls for something more like independence.
by being part of it no one wins in war but enemies are defeated many brave men lost their lives 100 years later it still makes us cry my ancestors were there too
