I had 15 piercings done with a gun, and my first needle piercing... the idea of it scared me so much, but honestly? Gun hurts more. :)

I've never gotten another piercing with a gun since I went to needles, and I don't regret it at all.

The pain from a needle is different, sharper and feels /cleaner/ than that of a gun. For me, it's hardly painful - I hardly felt my industrial piercing. :D

It's honestly nothing to fear.

I'd say a 2, at most, out of 10.

I just got my cartilage pierced like 3 weeks ago!

I'll tell u my story. Well my friend got her cartilage pierced like 1 month b4 i did and she has a high pain tolerance and is okay with needles and all that (she got hers done with a needle 2) and she said it was the most painful thing ever in her life.. and when i asked her 2 compare it 2 something she couldnt think of anything (nothing was as painful!) And hers didnt bleed at all. But even after hearing that i still wanted to get mine done cause i thought (and still do) think it looks soooooo cute! Oh and also I have a low pain tolerance (and hate needles) I didnt even feel it! It was crazy! After she did it i latterly asked "did u do it yet" and she said "yup, all done" (accually she wasnt done she was still cleaning off the blood 4 like 10 minutes!) then i left. Easy. Oh and hers didnt bleed at all and mine bleed ALOT! and we got em done by the same piercer.

And also she said how she couldnt sleep on hers and still cant! Yet I can and i fittle with it lol and it is completely fine but she says if she touches it or anything it hurts really bad!

Also my piercer told me not 2 go swimming, well she kept changing it first she said 1 week then 2 weeks the 1+ months until i go swimming but i did go 3 days after then 5 days after then i am probably going tomorrow and it has been gr8!

Hey I just got mine done a week ago with a needle too! I found it to be a 3.5 on the scale. It hurt a bit more than having blood drawn, but not alot! it was just a very hot feeling on my ear, like the inside of it just got super warm like it by a fire or something. :P It wasn't too bad and I found that with the needle it heals faster. Mine completely stoped bleeding an hour after, no more crusties or anything! :) good luck, and just a tip ask what gauge your peircing will be because if you end up in the future buying a smaller earring you might have trouble getting a bigger one back in. It will probably be a 16 or so tho. :) Good luck :)

Oh and also I could sleep on my ear 3 days later with NO pain at all :)

Got mine done 4nonths ago does not hurt AT ALL.but till this day it hurts when I sleep on that ear -.-

So it hurts forever-.-

I didn't get one but I heard that it kinda burns.
