well i have had 2 litters from my cats and there kittens dont way alot they dont weigh a pound and are really tiny but i really dont no if you touch a kitten and your sent gets on it then the mother could abandon it :( i would wait say 6 weeks and then see but im sorry i dont know i no they dont weigh a pund wen they are first born so maybe a few ounces hope this helps
it depends on a lot of things. How many kittens in the litter, how well nourished the mother cat is and if she had good care or had to fight for everything.
what is important is that the kittens gain weight after they are born.
