Being underweight doesn't prove competency. However WHY you are underweight might if it stems from a psychological impairment and it is detrimental to your physical health.
Not by itself. Skinny people are not automatically incompetent. However, being underweight can be combined with other evidence to persuade a judge that you cannot take care of yourself.
Any sign that you may be abusing yourself can be cause for a judge to consider granting a guardianship. If someone is limiting their food intake as a method of control in their lives, it indicates a lack of control over their own well being. That becomes an obvious mental health issue.
If the person is 'underweight' due to a mental health issue like anorexia then it is not 'underweight' they would take you to court for it is the deliberate attempts to harm and eventually kill yourself due to not being mentally stable and mentally capable

Not in and of itself, however it could be a sign of other problems. Many in my family were underweight but it was not due to any food issues.
