Well, we took my son for his 21st birthday, and arrived the day before his birthday. His girlfriend was 22 and she put the room on her credit card...(almost all hotels require a credit/debit card at check in....so that is one thing you must have...) anyway, we arrived the day before his 21st birthday...we ate, did the strip, ate again, did more sightseeing, stopped for a snack...etc etc. this we did from 11:00am - 11:00pm....then we were all so tired of sight seeing, we went back to our rooms.......for ONE HOUR! Then we hit the Casino Floor! My son gambled, drank, partied, clubbed, and had a blast! And we were not with him...meeting up with him the following morning! What a time he had!...His only disappointment...no Free Drinks on the house for his Birthday! That doesn't work in Vegas! So, I think as long as you have your ID and you turn 21, you should be just fine! That trip was a wonderful memory....we lost his dad last year, and I am so glad that we did this as a family! His sister and her boyfriend also joined us! WE met for lunch and dinner, and breakfast....what fun it was for all of us! You might consider telling your folks or other family members of your plans, as well as friends whom you might want to join you....it can be a great party for all, and a memory to cherish forever! Happy 21st from a mom!
Actually, that happened to my fiance when he turned 21.
I don't recommend being in Vegas for your exact birthday. Only because you run the risk of getting hassled when you get carded. Your license is technically expired and that's why you get a new one in the mail. While that takes weeks sometimes, the DMV can give you a temporary license in the meantime. Its a little piece of paper that just states you're being issued a new license and you sign it and carry it with your expired license.
I turned 21 on the 14th and left for Vegas on the 17th and surprisingly got carded a few times. You'd think if they looked at your birth date, they could do the math themselves...but I ran in to a few problems at the airport and when I went to enter some of the casinos, but they got over it once I showed them that piece of paper.
Tell that hater to push on. As long as your id say that your bday is that day and the math adds up to 21, baby u in there. Your bday is your bday, whoever heard of really being your new age the day after, soon as 12:01 am of your bday rolls and that age math add up. U are good.
