as you've probably read my other questions about our new jack russell pup, we also have 2 young children! what are your experiences etc on the two together?
to the point you should be fine as long as you spend a little time and patience training the pup, most pups tend to get excited etc,you must show them whats acceptable and whats not they very quickly learn.
for example i do not like my dogs to lick me or moreover other people so when they try to do this i say no (negative)and give them a Little tap on the nose to dissuad him it can work for pups nipping etc.
Terriers are a high energy dog, and can tend to be "nippy".
You will have to train both dogs and kids how to properly interact.
I would also reccommend keeping your dog busy.. a tired dog is a good dog. Terriers resort to obnoxious and destructive behavoiurs when they get bored and are not getting enough exercize and mental stimulation.
I read your other Q's and you're either totally irresponsible or a troll, not sure yet. But you have cats and young children, and you think it's a good idea to bring a JR into your house, please let this be a wind up.

i was brought up with jack russels when i was a kid (from 4 years old)and my dad used to breed them
of course they used to be a nippy and jumpy (they used to nip me a little when i was younger never botherd me)
but as long as you train the dog properly and give the dog plenty of excersise and mental stimulation
they can be good dogs
end of day as long as you put the effort and time in there isnt a problem with em

They will design buildings and hatch plans for world domination together. Be careful, and lock up the LSD
