lithium, paroxetine swollen ankles?

i am currently an inpatient in a well known private hospital have been here a month and was in my previous hospital on a section three since march so have spent the last six months in hospital whilst in my first hospital i never had swollen ankles ive never noticed having it before whilst i spent my first five months in the other hospital i was on all the same meds ive been on for the last three or so years.

I came to this new hospital on august 17th and the doctor has changed some of my meds she started me on paroxetine and lithium my ankles started swellinh up bad so bad i cant get any shoes on i got sent to the local gp andout two and a half weeks ago and she looked up in her book that swelling was a rare side effect of paroxetine so the gp assumed it was that and told my psych to take me off of that tablet that was two weeks ago and the swelling still hasnt gone and yesterday it was at its worst, Ive seen the doctor here amd she cant give me an answer it cant be the meds as ive never had it before on the meds im on

there is a history of heart problems in my mums side of the family most of the peple on that side of the family have died of heart problems including my mum could it be something to do with that

ive also taken lots of paracetamol overdoses in the last three years could that be something to do with it aswell.

the psych is sending me back to the doctors on wednesday morning

could it just be fluid retention as i told her i am drinking but finding it hard to pass urine i know its not a uti as ive had loads int he past that have often ended me up in a general hospital and they have tested my urine here and nothing is showing up

could the non abillity to pass urineand the swelling of the feet be connected?

my current meds are

quietiapine XL 6OOMG

Lithium 400mg

mirtazapine 45mg

zolpidem 10mg

diazapam 15mg
