Don't be afraid to talk to someone you think you'll get along with.. You'll regret it in the long run. Middle School is the time when you make the friends you're really going to stick with the rest of your school years, everyone changes friends. Wear what you're comfortable in! But if you're not that kind of person i suggest trying your own style. I don't know if you're a guy or girl but Aeropostle and stores like that go out of style quickly once you get older and besides it's so ordinary. If you're a girl i suggest Forever 21, they have good, unique, cheap clothes. Don't get into drama. You'll get more friends out of it, and drama's a huge waste of time. HW- Do it early haha. you probably wont. i never did , and it stresssssed me out. but honestly, if you do all of your homework you dont have to worry as much about tests because homework is most of the class' grade anyway. START PROJECTS WHEN YOU GET THEM. I was always a procrastinator ,i always did projects the night before and its extremely stressful, so get 'em done ! haha . Organizing - , i always liked having one folder for every class, and a homework folder where i'd put everything that was due the next day in, it helps you not forget anything . You'll get a planner to write your homework assignments in.. USE IT . i never did until this year (freshman year HS) and trust me i wish i used it all through Middle School too. Oh, and make an attempt to study for tests. This is all lame, boring advice.. but seriously it'll help if you actually do it.
Seriously, everyone says middle school isnt bad and you probably dont believe them.. but you really have nothing to worry about. The first few days might be really bad, but don't worry about it. Every other kid in your grade is in the same place haha. So just relax. Good luck! It'll be fun. :)
it isn't as bad as it sounds, but the are the BIGGEST TIPS I CAN GIVE YOU. I am recently out so I can give you the best advice,
1. DO NOT FOCUS ON RELATIONSHIPS. I am dead serious on this one, If you waist your time on being in a 'romantic relationship' at any point during the school year, I GUARANTY that your grades will drop, your heart will break. Now is the time to learn how to make real friends and all. I mean it is fine to have a playful relationship, but don't lose your v card, don't isolate yourself and your lover, etc. keep it playful. Spend as much time as possible with your friends. These are the most important rules.
2. Get good grades. You know you can do it, go out of your way to get AT LEAST a B in every class. If you get a C in every class, or mostly C's and D's, you can get held back. And they wont consider you for average level classes in high school. wouldn't it suck to be in high-school and be in special classes because you slacked off in middle? And they will put you in special classes if you get bad grades during middle school as well. They need to make sure you are ready for high school.
3. Listen to your teachers. Even the super grumpy ones or mean ones. Sometime they may something that will change your life for the better. Keep an open mind.
4. Get an accordion folder and use it. TRUST ME.
The best advice I could give you. right them down, and use them and you will be successful in friendships and school, and you will be emotionally stable if you follow the 'no serious romantic relationships' thing.
The same thing happened to me before 6th grade! I went to the school the day of the orientation and went to the guidance office and told them I lost it, then the lady printed out a new one for me.
