I too have two girl chinese dwarf hamsters (Ariel and Charlotte). They are so sweet and the best breed ever. As to play with them just put them on your hand and let them run up and down your arm and around your neck. They tickle and they squeak. As for letting your dog near them, please do not! The dog is most likely to eat them or step on them. If you want to you could put them in a very secure ball and let them roll about in your house. For treats you could do this:
Cut open a banana slightly and stuff yogurt in it. Then but cut up strawberries or blueberries on it too. You're welcome.
generally you hold and pet them or you can let them run around your house in a hamster ball and no do not let the dog near them. he/she may view them as desert
