My father and I aren't close in the slightest. As a a child, he wasn't around for working so much, and as soon as I turned eighteen he left my mother and I. He moved a couple states away. I haven't seen him in over two years, and just recently he's begun calling me to catch up on things. He's made a promise [he's horrible at keeping promises] to me that he will show up to walk me down the isle on my wedding day. However, I have a backup, in case he doesn't show up.
Besides the point, I'm looking for a song I can use for the father/daughter dance, if he does show up. I don't want anything too sentimental, as we aren't close in any way. I love him because he is my father... But that's about as far as it goes. So I'm at a loss for song ideas.
I've found one song that is a slight possibility - "I Learned From You" by Miley Cyrus. Any other suggestions?

I personally think these are the best ones. Good luck.
I'm not close to my stepfather and actually skipped the father/daughter dance altogether--would you consider doing this and just going with your 'back-up plan'?
My stepfather still walked me down the aisle...it just would have been too uncomfortable to dance with him.
