My 4 month old yorkie began having a funny sound in her lung whenever she becomes excited such as biting us or playing with us. When I picked her up, I could feel strange vibrations coming from her chest accompanying the funny sound. We were worried and thought it might be some lung problem, so we took her to the vet. When we got to the vet, the sound was gone, and the vet listened to my yorkie's lung and said there was no problem. So we came back home, and now our yorkie has the funny sound again. Here is a video with her emitting the funny sound. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.... We will show this video to the vet next time just in case the sound stops again when we go to the vet, but in the meantime, has any of your dogs had this problem before, and do you know what the problem is? I'm really frightened.

Those aren't funny sounds she is playing with you! She is making those sounds to let you know she having fun! I woun't get too worried about them at all.
I think I agree with goldengal: it's probably an expression of joy rather than a symptom of a problem. Many breeds of dogs have their own sounds they make when they're excited, happy, stressed, or "talking". I recently learned that my rottie's "happy growl" has been called "rottweiler purr" by fans of the breed. Other dogs with the flat faces/scrunched noses make a funny sound in their throats when they breathe that seems alarming to people like me but is normal for their breeds.
Of course, ask the vet if that's what it could be.
No idea, show the vet. It could be a play sound but a mummer is unlikely you wouldn't hear it like that. It sound more like an upper respiratory but that is based on humans not dog medicine. Sorry why don't you email that to your vet and see what he says.
he might have a murmer. take him to a vet
