Playing DVD under Winows8?
What steps shall l take in order to view and hear the DVD course materials I bought from The Great Courses? Instructions were lacking and they were only able to assure me that it can be done.

Not sure what The great courses is, however if you are having trouble playing a video file on your pc download and use the following program, it is the best program for viewing video files. I use it for pretty much everything related to media content now; it can even convert video to .mp3:
