I am seeking info on the sources of polysaccharides, etc. such as those seemingly hidden, e.g. herbal teas etc.
Update:Perhaps I have not been clear enough in my query. Sorry. I have info on the chemical structure, etc., what I would like to know is what foods contain polysaccharides, eg., all foods?, all berries? all fruits?, all grains? Thank you all for your responses.

Polysaccharides are different kinds of starches seen only in seeds and roots etc.
What we see or get from tea any kind are called"alkaloids"or plant chemicals
.Of course tea as an extract or decotion has few sugars in negligible amounts but they are not polysaccharides , but simple sugars
glucose is blood sugar.a monosaccharide
2 glucoses attached is a disaccharide
When more saccharides are attached it is a polysaccharide. Starch is a polysaccharide.
We use both sugars and starches for energy, it takes longer to digest starch.
Herbal teas would have vey little starch in them. Starch is not soluble in water and tea is a dilute solution.
