I just got a camera that had everything except for a mic input. I have the Blue Yeti mic, and was thinking that there must be a way to record the audio from the mic to some storage device like an SD card or something and then load it on as an mp3 file in After Effects or something. It'd have it on a boom pole or something.
Cheers,
Mason

So... what you're asking for is a portable recorder that will use your USB mic and record to MP3 on an SD card or similar.
That isn't going to be easy to find. You could just use your laptop to record. That isn't very easily portable, but if you're going to put the mic on a boom anyway, maybe that's not a big concern.
One high quality portable digital recorder is the Zoom H2 or the Zoom H4N. These don't accept USB mics but they do have built-in decent mics of their own.
I do think you are going to need a portable audio source. Think about this. You are going to have a camcorder, possibly a tripod and a boom pole? Unless you have folks to help you out you don't have enough hands.
You can get something as small as the Zoom H1 to record quality video:

If you need more there are other products int he Zoom line that have excellent recording quality.
you will probable decide for a expert recording application, besides the shown fact that I recorded my guitar on 10w beginner amp, onto a crummy pc with Audacity, via a Guitar Hero USB Mic and it got here out only the way i needed it to. besides the shown fact that the sound i became into going for became into the sound of Unholy Black steel!!! hahaha.
