if anyone has this guitar i would like their personal reviews of the guitar, along with the specs, good and bad. i'm planning on getting this guitar in a few days and i just want to make sure it's a good guitar. I am a newb, i've only been playing for a few months, but the guitar i have is crap. So i want this guitar, especially since i have been led to believe it is of good quality so it should last me a while. Anyones input would be very helpful!
Update:I'm not going to get the floyd rose, i just don't want to mess with it haha

Hi there what you have in mind is a great guitar, I have a schecter Omen extreme FR, but I played damien elite once, and here is what I can tell you. I assume you want to play rock metal on this guitar because it's all this guitar is made for, it has a mahogany body, with active EMG 85 in the neck and EMG 81 in the bridge position. This is a great guitar I definitely advise you to get it, and you definitely won't go wrong. Now here are a few things I don't like. I don't like floyd rose bridges, they can be a real pain in the a** when it comes to changing strings, and tunings once you put strings on your guitar and decide on a tuning you want to use there is no going back, unless you want to repeat the whole process. If you don't know how to change strings on a floyd rose I suggest you give it to a professional, or have him to teach you, I did it on my own and ended up by breaking two string saddles, and the exact same spare saddles I can't find anywhere. What more Damien Elite has the same floyd rose special like my guitar, and the saddles are more likely to break if you are not careful because they are not mad out of a high quality material. If you want to avoid all this get a damien elite with a string through body, it will resonate better and give you an incredible sustain. In general this isa great guitar, even if you want to play some clean stuff it's also great, those active EMG pickups are capable of everything. Since they are active pickups that means that you have to put in a 9V battery to power them up and that will give you a better sound than passive pickups, but also can be a pain in the a** when your battery breaks in the middle of your playing. So yeah that's it, now if you decide to take a look on other schecters I suggest you take a look on Schecter Omen Extreme 6 (without a floyd rose), and a Schecter C-1 standard (without a floyd rose) now those are some kick a** guitars! So all in all a great guitar and I say go for it and be proud to be a member of schecter society!
Great answer Kevin. I also have to add that I picked up one of the Schecter C-1 Classics when they were being discontinued and man that thing plays sweet. I am a die hard Schecter fan now. I have the active EMG's in a Les Paul and they are really great pups for metal. Unless you're hell bent on having a tremolo I'd get the 3rd one, Damien Elite. My C-1 is not very heavy for a mahogany body with quilted maple top.
I played a Schecter for the first time last Saturday, don't remember the model though and it was great!! Played through a Marshall half stack, amazing sound!! Good luck!! Don't give up...
