Every once in awhil, I'll go to move or pick something up, and I'll get this quick sharp pain in my wrist. It only last a second, but it's been starting to happen more often. It usually happens when I bend my hand upwards. It's right in the base of my wrist, almost in my hand.

Do you use a computer or play on an xbox etc. If you do this could be what is starting to give you problems or any job that is repetitive.
I had the same problem years ago with to much computer work in my job, and it has left my hands weak. I'd be very carful in what you do and try and avoid anything that can put stress on you wrists, for a few weeks and see how you go, or try to eliminate what is causing this.
If your pain persists I'd suggest that you go to your GP. Arnica gel is very good for this pain if it starts to be a continues pain.
Hi, Jessica. I think that you may have an inflammation of the tendon at the back of your hand; It may also be that you have injured one or two of the capsules of your finger joints from misuse. To get some relief from the pain, you need to apply some heat treatment in the form of balm & crepe bandage for a week or so. Do rub in the balm really well into the affected areas twice a day. If after this treatment, there is no improvement, you are advised to visit your doctor.
