Obviously any of the Cirque shows are good.. I'd actually recommend NOT spending the extra money for seats. All cirque shows are pretty small and all seats have a good view from my experience. I've seen every show at least 5 times, you certainly have different experiences depending on where you sit, but they were all good seats.
The cirque shows in the order I prefer them in:
Mystere, KA, O, Love, Zumanity. Too bad you're not coming a little later, Criss Angel's Cirque show opens in September @ The Luxor.
I'd recommend Wayne Brady (improv comedy) if you're into comedy shows, I thought it was very good. And Phantom was also very good. Both of those are at The Venetian.
"V" The Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood has a little bit of everything. Music, magic, comedy, acrobatics. And it's on the cheaper side, $65-$75.
If you want to see a production show, I recommend the show at Bally's, "Jubilee" and the show at the MGM, "KA". I have seen “O” at Bellagio also but I think KA is a better show. These will cost about $100 each; that's the going rate for production shows in Vegas now. I aso suggest that you buy tickets online before you go, particularly if you want to see a Circ d Sol show.
If you are in Vegas as a couple, you will be stopped many times by folks in a number of hotels trying to offer free stuff in exchange for listening to time share presentations. They will get on your nerves. But if you don't mind sitting through a time share presentation you can get free show tickets or some cash. I also recommend Gladys Knight’s show at the Flamingo and also the George Wallace comedy show at the Flamingo. Clint Holmes' show at Harrahs is good but I didn't care for The Scintas at the Rio Hotel. If you like oldies, go see the show at the Sahara Hotel featuring the Drifters, Flamingos, and Coasters.
There are 5 cirque shows - Mystere the locals favorite, O! a water form of Mystere, Love at Beatles tribute, Zumanity an adult shows, and Ka. The Phantom of the Operais fantastic as LeReve (a form of cirque).
Want to go to the only dinner show - Kings Tournament at Excalibur.
I'd recommend a magic show. Extreme Magic with Dirk Arthur is very good. It's also an afternoon show so it won't interfere with your other plans. It's affordable and has tigers in it.
any of the cirque de soeli shows. (how ever you spell it). make sure you spend the money to get good seats otherwise you have wasted the money you did spend because you wont be able to see anything! my personal favorite is love at the mirage.
