a(a - 7)(a - 2) = 0
a = 0 or 7 or 2 <==ANSWER
2. x^4 -14x²+45=0
(x² - 9)(x² - 5) = 0
(x - 3)(x + 3)(x² - 5) = 0
x² - 5 = 0
x² = 5 or x - 3 = 0 or x + 3 = 0
x = ±√5 or x = 3 or x = -3 <==ANSWER
3. x^4-13x²+36=0
(x² - 9)(x² - 4) = 0
(x - 3)(x + 3)(x - 2)(x + 2) = 0
x = 3 or -3 or 2 or -2 <==ANSWER
4. x³ = 3x²
x³ - 3x² = 0
x²(x - 3) = 0

2. f(x)=x^4 -14x²+45
if x=3,then x^4 -14x²+45=0,so (x-3) is a factor of f(x)
(x-3)(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d)=x^4 -14x²+45
You get a=1,b=3,c= -5 and d= -15
But I leave it to you to find the other value/s of x.I give you one hint:
set g(x)=x^3+3x^2-5x-15 and find a value of x that makes g(x)=0 and follow the same method I showed you earlier
3. f(x)=x^4-13x²+36
if x=2,then f(x)=0,so (x-2) is a factor of f(x)
