Ive heard so many bad rumors about soy protein on health sites but I still dont really understand whats wrong with it. Do you guys know why its considered not good?
There are many proteins out there that are much better sources, like Whey Isolate. Soy contains estrogen precursors and isoflavones, which negatively affect people with thyroid conditions.
Plant proteins are incomplete, meaning they lack certian amino acids which are essential for tissue buildup. If you insist on being vegan and cannot get a complete protein, take the soy with an amino acid supplement. Other than that, it's pretty useless.
