I Recently gave my Inspiron E1505 to my younger brother. A few days after creating his profile, there was a sudden strange, blue line to the right-center of the computer that showed up no matter what program or window you had open. A few days ago it mysteriously turned pink. how do I get rid of it? DXdiag if it matters:

Hmmm.... Softwares/programs don't have something to do on that. Your LCD screen is broken slightly. The line or pixels along on that is line are broken, called dead pixels. It appears when you touch the LCD screen too hard(but actually, touching the LCD screen is not recommended except for the touch-screen LCDs) or the laptop bumped, fell, exertion of too much pressure like: sitting on the laptop, using the laptop as pillow or something similar. There's no solution on that neither repairing can't fix it. The only thing to remove that line is, of course, buy a new LCD screen or buy a new laptop.
=D
There is no problem with the software on it. The only problem is the LCD screen. It may be because of moisture or due to a sudden shake or drop of the device. Did anything happen that you remember?
There is no way to fix it, except to show it to an authorised doctor. He will help you, and may be you'll need to change the screen at a price. He may advise to send it to the manufacturer to get it replaced.
Ebay it.
