Thyroxine is one of the two hormones secreted by the thyroid gland, the other is triodothyronine (a real tonguetier)
None of them has any effect on facial hair.
Maybe there is some misinformation you see, when somebody suffers from deep hypothiroidism or very slow thyroid function, very likely will develop wide facial features, large tongue, and swelling of the limbs ankles, and wrists...and the beard ceases to grow in the male.
Once the deficiency is corrected, the growth of the beard and mustache in MEN, will come back to normal.
In women, thyroxine has nothing to do with facial hair.
In fenales though, the lack of thyrocine will cause tiredness, scanty scalkp hair (falls more easily than usual) and brittle nails, especially if the diet is low in calcium,
So thyroxine, has nothing to do with growing facial hair or not in the normal averahe sound person.....By the way,,,I am curious now....where did you get such false information (just curious)

I think its the other way around..not enough thyroxine will sometimes make you grow hair. Too much will make your hair fall out!
