Don't worry about it this year(2007) but most experts think that the volcano will erupt again.
"According to Geoff Clayton, a geologist with RH2, a repeat of the Osceola mudflow would destroy Enumclaw, Kent, Auburn, and most or all of Renton.[3] Such a mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and cause tsunamis in Puget Sound and Lake Washington. Rainier is also capable of producing pyroclastic flows as well as lava."- from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Rainier
If I submit to in concepts properly, Fuji is a Stratovolcano, which final erupted in 1707, that's a commonly Basaltic volcano, has the classic volcano shape, and is on the island of Honshu in Japan the place that's seen to be sacred.
