I've got a 52" rear projection HDTV currently, and i love it, but i want a LCD so i don't have to worry about Burn-In when i play my xbox or hook it to my computer. When do you think prices will come down on these tvs to the point i could find one for about 1500?

Well guess what....LCD projection TV sets CAN EXHIBIT BURNS !!
I just saw two LCD TV sets with MSNBC and ESPN burns in them.....
Both from guys watching either sports desks or stock quotes all day on them !
Geez, I would never have thought it WOULD DO THAT!
But.....customers find a way to prove the engineers and techs wrong....
I even saw a little old lady BURN her Picture Tube TV set with a QVC burn....sheesh, you know what she was doing all day.
I'm glad I'm not her husband....
SO......at this point in time, I'm RECOMMENDING DLP TV SETS AS THE ONLY BURN-PROOF TV OUT THERE.....
And those are presently in your price range.....Better color, sharper picture and BURN-PROOF....
I'll find a customer to prove that wrong someday too.....but NOT YET.
The rumor I heard from a salesman at Sears is the prices will drop after February of 2008.
Once the new panels based upon Sharp's new ultra-thin glass are in production the current (much heavier) models will start to see fire sale pricing. Figure another 9 months or so.
