Definately the Ibanez. Due to shape.. its going to have a much better natural acoustic sound. The Dean is also going to be very uncomfortable to play sitting down due to its shape too. Um... look up American Musical Supply. Any purchase over 249, they will do interest free. 3 months or 5 months. I use my Visa debit card....good way to go.....pulled out of my account every 31 days... no interest.. they ship the product same day you order it. Also.. if defective.. or for any reason you are not happy with the product.. they will send you a prepaid shipper to return the item. In turn.. ive ordered 4 guitars from them in the last year.. they have ALL arrived in tune, and outside of having to raise the string height a touch for my taste on a fretless bass I ordered.....they were all set up perfect.
Guitar and Piano are two entirely different beasts. The guitar has a lot of timbral versatility to it compared to the piano. For example, the 6th fret on the low E string is the same pitch as the 1st fret on the A string, but they have relatively different sounds because resonance gets involved. It's quite a fun instrument to play however. If you're leaning to play Electric, get a Squier Strat. Every guitar player you know is probably gonna tell you otherwise, because, it sounds bad or isn't the greatest guitar in the world. While that is true, it's also cheap, and compared to One Act guitars, it's not too bad. It's less than $250 for the pack with the amp and the tuner, cable, bag, and everything else, and it's not a bad set. I'm still using the gig bag I got from it 5 years later on my Iceman. The amp eventually went because I used it outside in awfully humid conditions and the electrics corroded over. But for the short term, it's a good investment. When you first pick up an instrument to learn, you need to develop your practice skills, both mechanics and regularly practicing, so don't spend $400 on a guitar right away. It's a shame to see people spend $500+ on Epiphone Les Pauls and knock offs, learn how to play a few songs, and then give up and have the guitar stuffed in a closet. If you do get the set, there's usually a book included where it teaches you a few notes on each string, then some chords, gives you some basic songs, with notes and chords. Nothing to deep into the theory but use that in learning the mechanics, which'll eventually help you in the theory. Go through the book, make sure you know it, then go to a teacher, who will teach you (ideally) advanced mechanics, then start introducing theory. Some people say to learn how to play tabs which are very helpful if you want to learn a song or a new technique but stick with the standard notation because it'll honestly help you. Guitar isn't necessarily difficult to learn if you're willing to put in the time to practice, but it's ridiculously rewarding to play.
It all depends on the sound you want. Have you played either one of em? The Dean would probably have a shallower sound than the Ibanez. Is the Ibanez A/E too? Theres all sorts of questions to ask. I would go with the Ibanez myself due to the fact that I think it would have a fuller sound, I dig the sunburst, and when it gets old it won't look as "dated" as the Dean.
Look around for used deals for great guitars and someone already mentioned ebay, also craigslist.
You can also check lots of places for prices. I like the looks of this black Ibanez.
There are lots of brands and lots of decent instruments.
Also avoid paying by the month... save up all your money, eat beans, bet relatives, have a birthday but pay cash when you can!!!!
the Ibanez would be your best choice, but step up to a PF series for a few dollars more, I have an older one and it's a great guitar, I have other guitars that blow it away but all in all damn nice Chinese guitar and it wont set you back 2k+ for a very playable instrument
Those are both mediocre guitars at best so it doesn't matter which one you choose. You should save against the day when you're advanced enough to understand what an acoustic guitar should sound like and then go out and buy a good guitar.
Go with the Ibanez, a flying V acoustic looks stupid.
but $15.00/month is just the minimum payment, I wouldn't advise you to only pay that or you'll get screwed by the APR eventually.
If you want an acoustic buy a martin, an ovation or a taylor.
But between those two... i would take the dean one.
I don't know what style you play.
i yeah the flying-v is really more of an electric guitar look. go for the other one
