I'm a 20 year old junior, and I am debating whether to pursue a BBA in Economics, or a BBA in International Business. I like IB because you get to learn the politics and economies of other countries in the undergrad degree and I like economics because of the analysis involved. Also, I am thinking of pursuing an MBA after I complete my undergrad degree, but they want 48 months of work experience so should I start looking into internships and all that? Also the average GPA for the admitted students to the MBA was 3.2 and the average GMAT score was 600. My GPA right now is 3.2 and I think I can raise it up. Basically, what would be more beneficial in the long run?

Applying to MBA programs can be very stressful because there is a lot of competition to get in. You need to do everything you can to separate yourself from other people, and the best way to do that is with an effective application. The MBA application essay is the spot on the application where a given MBA program wants to hear from you.

If you're keen on economics/IB I would personally take economics.. I don't see much value in international business. Although, I'm not a CEO of a multi-million dollar company..
