eating right and exercise dont work for many of us. Our metabolisms are damaged from years of restrictive dieting. Cutting back and trying to exercise more just makes this fat-storing effect worse. What we need is something to kick start our metabolisms in the same way a jump start does a car, then it runs like it should after that.
That said, everyone IS different, and there are pills out there that work, in addition to nutritional supplements and hunger control supplements. Some come in natural form (like psyllium husks, whole oats) and some come in tablet form like 5-HTP and chromium picolinate which help control blood sugar swings and hunger "demands". That is just one aspect of making things work better.
The other mistake the bashers make is thinking that "one" pill is going to magically fix everything (or they think that other people are going to think this way), so when they fail at it because of that, they blame every single pill out there for being a failure when in fact they haven't tried them or certainly haven't tried enough or made enough effort to have things work synergistically to have an educated opinion.
You will need to probably take several supplements. Try reading up online about your different systems like digestion, metabolism, blood sugar, and immunity, and find out what optimizes these best. Every little bit helps. But thats just it, each thing helps a little, not a miracle overnight. It can take 1-3 weeks for your system to adjust to new amounts of nutrients. Dont listen to the bashers.
Caffeine is safe and legal and in many weigh loss aids. Nothing wrong with caffeine. THe problems come when people abuse it then blame the drug when its their own fault or problem. If you do get the feeling that its affecting you in a way you dont want, reduce your dose a little at a time til you feel comfortable. That's all a doctor would do with any medication. Thats the responsible way, not the basher's way.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

use the freezer to add some extra oomph to summer foods freeze grapes for some bite sized delights or get a popsicle mold and freeze some greek yogurt with berries
try a pasta less spaghetti by mixing shredded zucchini veggie meatballs and raw tomato sauce seasoned with a dash of zesty oregano
Not eating or skipping meals is not dieting If you do you may get more weight
I have taken many and NONE of them work. Plus they can make you very jittery. Just eat right and get some exercise !
invest in a standing desk like the ergotron workfit s 379 ergotron com or get crafty and raise your monitor and keyboard with books
jump on a trampoline for 29 minutes
make an office snack box of your own so you re not tempted by your colleagues candy bowl fill it with small individually packaged portions of soy chips almonds and dried fruit
