Which will pound harder ?
Which will pound harder in my trans am ? I have a kicker zx1000.1 1000 watts rms bass amp I have 2 options I can choose from 2 12 inch kicker cvr in a sealed box they are 400 rms watts a piece or 1 15 inch kicker Cvx in a ported box and thats 1000 rms watt sub and you all know a trans am is a hatchback so which set up will pound harder ?

The 15 might not be as responsive as the 12 or it might be and I would most likely end up getting the two twelves.
1 ported 15 hands down. Sub and port firing up off the rear glass. The 12's might have more cone area but it's a sealed box whereas the ported box will need to be larger and almost the same size as the 12's and if the box is tuned right it will peak louder than the 12's sealed.
Only the SPL meter knows.
2 12". The ported dont sound as good or hit as hard unless done right.
