There's alleged to be a difference between South Australia and the leisure of Australia. However I too don't become aware of it. I often realize the country accent is more suitable then the city accent. But the foremost factor I observe is your cultural accents, i.E those whose parents weren't born in Australia and have a slight mix of accent. I generally become aware of this with your Asian cultures.

Mm I am English (British) and now also an Australian national, and I can defo tell you that we speak VERY differently.
Inflections in the spoken word and the structure of sentences in the spoken word are more akin to American these days than British!!
Sadly however I myself am afflicted by a dual kind of accent. I sound Aussie to the Poms and Pommie to the Aussies, go figure :)
You're kidding right? Australia used to be a British penal colony. They're descended from Brits. South Africa also used to be a British Colony.

Both areas were colonized by the British. I think they still control Africa...not sure about Australia

Same with South Africa, except south africa now has independance. So they don't have our flag on theirs.
