I just got an Ipad 1st generation and I'm looking for a case to fit. I like the Griffin survivor BUT they ddon't make that case for the Ipad 1st gen. So would an Ipad 1 fit into the Ipad 2 case? If not, does anyone have a similar type case which will fit an Ipad 1. Thanks!

A survivor for the 1st gen iPad would have been great that's for sure but I've checked them out before and unfortunately these protective cases are only for the 2nd gen onwards.
You might want to check out other offerings from ZAGG or get what I have on mine which is a clamcase - although be warned that it's not just a protective casing, it has a built-in keyboard and it acts as a stand all in one as well. I'm not sure if they still have them for the 1st gen though but their site does say it has so you might want to check them out here: http://clamcase.com/clamcase-ipad-keyboard-case-bl...

Will an Ipad 2 Griffin Survivor fit an Ipad 1st gen?

The ipad is just a big iphone without the ability to place a call. It only has 256M ramm, and only 32 or 64G of storage. It' uses a cell phone processor and cell phone OS. It IS a nice tool, but it is an ACCESSORY to a computer, NOT a substitute for one. If you get an ipad you NEED a real computer too. I am pretty happy with my first gen, but I use a free one from work. It gets me ALOT of attention, but everyine in the industry that tries mine is usually pretty disappointed. We kinda view them as toys. I think the only reason they only make me carry the testbed around because I'm a girl. But if you read industry insider reviews you will see that the new unit is NOT faster than gen 1. After tests, we have decided we are NOT going to deploy ipads or ipad2's in our company. We're not even going to bother buying a ipad2 testbed. IF you need a double camera, then of course get gen2. The second camera is the only real addition. The tablets are MUCH more powerful, but don't have as good app support as apple. A netbook is much more powerful than an ipad, and it can run REAL programs, but won't get you all the attention. Of course a real laptop is even more powerful. If I had to pay for my own equipment, I'd recommend a PC laptop for 700 or an macbook. YOU REALLY NEED TO TRY AN IPAD FOR A WEEK BEFORE YOU BUY ONE so you know what they can and can't do. EDIT You have an iphone? then you know what an ipad is. A 700 dollar iphone that cannot place a call. If you want to read books, you can buy a kindle for only 130 or a nook for 150.
Case For Ipad 1st Generation
Reading the publication instead of watching the movie is the best way to see what the writer supposed. Reading uses your imagination, hones your reading skills, and can transform your vocabulary
Watching tv is simpler but I love reading books more
