GSP's keys to victory is Running away and holding Nick Diaz down, which unfortunatly is GSP's Strengths and Diaz's weakness. Along with Diaz's Weaknesses is getting Cut easily, which again cuttting/damaging opponents is one of GSP's specialtys.
Diaz's Keys to victory: If he can Brawl with Georges or corner his movement/stay in his face. His chin is superior to georges and slug out a TKO. Off the back, if GSP isn't careful I think Nick's BJJ is better and might be able to catch him with something for a sub.
Again, the probable result is GSP by decision (he's not KOing or Submitting Diaz), but this requires GSP to stick to his intelligent game plan and perform at his best. Hopefully all the trash talking and getting inside GSP's head that Diaz did will make him slip up and that's all it takes, look at the condit fight, Carlos almost TKO'd him. I believe Diaz has the best shot right now at beating GSP right now, and it's pretty darn close to a super fight both being welterweight champions.
Only time will tell really, one things for sure though and that this is going to be an awesome fight. I'm a huge fan of both fighters
GSP: Muay Thai Black belt Bjj Kyokoshin Karate Freedy Roach Boxing Nick Diaz: Bjj Boxing Gsp might no dought win he will wreck him with a submission or a ok.o GSP is greater effective on Throws , Submissions , get up Oiss
Well nick has shown that wrestlers are his achilles heel. The majority of nicks loses are to strong wrestlers and grapplers in general. But he his skills are way better now then they were when he was younger. He trains harder, his work ethic is insane. His cardio is unbelivable and his bjj is far better than it is now then when he was younger. His guard is sick. He has great submissions off his back and he can take a tremendous punch. GSP is the favorite in this fight because he is a very dominate wrestler, but he is also a good technical striker. Diaz can win if he keeps pressuring GSP to get into a brawl and cardio battle to see who gives up first OR he can catch him in a submission. GSP only has one way to win and that is take nick down and dominate for 5 rounds. GSP can possibly rock diaz but GSP has recently gave up his killer instinct to coast to a safe decision. Its a toss up. Who knows who will win. I would like nick to win,but the gods favor GSP.
Gsp will probably win as long as he mixes up his takedowns/takedown attempts along with his safety jab that he throws constantly. Diaz has not face a competent wrestler in 7 years, which is a plus. Diaz is good boxer that throws a lot of body shots, which GSP is susceptible to. But with his safety jab he should be safe. i do not recommend that he throw more than a two punch combination because it could get dangerous with Nick in exchanges. GSP has proven that he can recover quick in his last match and with his champion attitude he will win thi by a unamimous decision after 5 rounds.
It'll be a very interesting fight, since Nick is going to be more in Georges face than any fighter he's ever faced. I can't wait for Nick's trash talking during the fight.
