If you're taking ANY electrical device outside your country (I'm assuming from the US to Australia), you will want to have an international plug adapter on hand to minimize the issues. This isn't just for your Switch, but for ANY device you're taking abroad (phone, laptop, tablet, ect.).
Upon quick research, the Kensington Travel Plug Adapter (~$20, https://www.kensington.com/us/us/4472/k33117/inter... ) would resolve your concerns as it's geared to work with most common electrical devices without issue & takes care of the 110-220v deal as well since it has it's own safety fuse (so that'll blow BEFORE your connected device will, for added protection). All you need to do is connect your device to the adapter, slide out the appropriate plug for that country (in this case, Australia) & you're set!
The only devices NOT supported are devices that have high power demands, like a hair blow dryer, as those would exceed the supported wattage range for the adapter.
There are other international adapters out there, so you'll likely want to shop around to find the adapter you like the best. I only use the Kensington Travel Plug Adapter as a reference item so you have an idea on what to look for, as I have no preference nor bias towards other makers (I only went with the first item that came across for this answer).

Hope this helps!
Read the label on the power supply. Does it say 110-240 volts?
