Should be between 17 and 21 mpg, despite what all the other poor comments. The V6 should not chug and has more power than the old I6. Does the check engine light come on? The transmission control modules are known to fail on the 2006's (ours did). We saw the CEL however, and had bad shifting and some poor response. Other then the usual, clean fuel and air filters etc, you will need a shop to take a look at it and check the computer for codes.
