That is way too big of an age, maturity, life experience difference. Any 19 year old who feels like he has to socialize especially romantically with a 13 year old has some serious problems.

Why would you want to rush yourself into dating? and what are you doing as a 8th/9th grader hanging out with someone who has graduated (hopefully) high school already? he should be in college. the 5 years is big diference for you right now, why you dont wait more time if he wants you he will wait for you, or you can look someone as seems age.

I am 15 and I wouldn't date someone that old cause he could go to jail and/or try to take advantage of you.
