Yes, you will need a puller to remove the flywheel, but be very careful, they're made of a cast alloy and break very easily. Once off just install the points exactly as you see the old ones. I'm not certain of the gap required, but try .020, it'll probably work just fine.
I would go check out a book on mowers at the library. You need a puller to take the flywheel off, if you want to do things correctly. Most major hardware stores carry the puller that is required, or check out lawnmower dealers near your home.
take off the flywheel bolt you need a puller for the flywheel and the rest is self explained the point gap is .35
dont bother their engines are bad now that they hired out mexicans down south to build them for cheaper labor
