It's for my dorm...me and my roommate both have TVs, we tried sharing but I can't see their tv, it is very small, we don't watch the same shows and I'll be using mine for my xbox. Our room has basic Time Warner Cable and if we ask Maintenance for a splitter, will both TVs have to watch the same channel?
Update:Thanks so much...

As long as their isn't a cable box involved a splitter will work just fine, you can watch different channels. Analog or digital cable, doesn't matter.
Hi,
Yes you can, as long as the signal is analog. Digital signals cannot be splited using splitters unless you use 2 settop boxes for both tv's. Analog signals can be splitted. Yes you can watch different channels on each tv at the same time. If one tv is off, the other tv will still work the cable.
Hope this helps!
You should be able to so long as you are using the built in tuner in the tv. If you are using a cable box then no. You would need two cable boxes.
