I recently came down with a cold. It started off in my throat and chest. Lots of coughing with mucus. This morning I woke up with one nostril plugged. I blew my nose and along in my snot there was a blackish grey spot. This happened the last time I had a sinus infection almost 5 months ago. Anyway else ever experience this or know what this is? I dont have a sinus infection right now and pray to god Im not getting one.

Dark grey stuff is usually dust and dirt that gets trapped in your nose when you breathe. It's usually barely noticeable, but if you have lots of mucus, you'll have lots of dust as well. Also, there's a possibility of a bit of blood being there too, but that would be brownish-red.
this is likely because through the night you have been able to draw some air in through that nostril however because Your nose has been blocked its likely the grey spot is dust particles that have been caught in the mucus.
