I went tanning today and left my engagement ring on and under that light one of the smaller diamonds was pale blue and all the rest were white. Why would this be? They all look identical in normal light. It was from Goodman jewelers and wasn't cheap.

Nothing to worry about, some diamonds glow blue others don't. The gem community hasn't decided yet whether or not that makes them more or less valuable. It doesn't mean it's fake at all.

Your Diamond has Florescence! It is not a bad thing nor good, It really has not been decided on. Mine does the same thing and I think it is Amazing you now have a diamond that is not like any others even though each diamond is unique this makes yours extra special. Most people that have a diamond and dont even know that they have that feature. Take a look at it under a black light It is really Beautiful! Congradulations! You picked a good one and ...so did he! By the way I am a gemologist!
The blue one might have been man made. I know that man made ruby's have a UV finger print that looks different from natural ruby's under UV light.

it is just a natural thing
one is fake or has had something else done to it.
