i am looking at building a new gaming computer. I will be playing the latest games and don't want to take shortcut in the build.
The CPU i will go with is AMD FX-8150 (bulldozer). The motherboard I'm looking at is ASUS Sabertooth 990FX. I will install the OS and drivers on a ssd hard drive which will be the corsair force gt 120gb. I was looking at the motherboard manual from the asus website to find the right ram. The motherboard is compatible with DDR3 1066mhz, 1300mhz, 1600mhz, 1800mhz, 1866mhz, 2000mhz
i understand that the higher the Mhz the fast the ram but will i notice the difference?

if you got 16bg of 1600mhz ram and 4gb of 2000mhz ram the 2000mhz will win and the 2000mhz isnt much more also your os and gaming usual only take up about 2gb of ram so unless your surfing the web and playing 5 different video games at once the faster is always better than bigger so i would suggest 2000mhz 4 6 or 8 gb ram and you'll see the difference and there's no need to go over 8gb even on desktop ram and ram is always good and the high the MHz the faster the ram posses
Different RAM speeds should not visibly impact performance except when storing and accessing/changing large amounts of data very quickly.
