So this girl I talk to via facebook (we have the same friends) talk to the same people, etc. She made a post on fb saying she was starving and wanted to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. So I hadn't eaten either so I'm like "hey lets go get some food I haven't eaten either and I'm starving!" she said she was up for it, messaged me her number and what not So I text her around what time did she want to go and she said she was getting dressed so like an hour passes by and I txt her "are you still getting ready?" she said yes but she was moving slow. So I don't want to bug her so I didn't ask anymore and she never texted me back. So I got bummed that she flaked but to me I'm thinking why did she even bother to give me her number and get my number if she didn't really want to go grab some food? I know the first person will say "oh maybe she was being nice" but it's like c'mon if you don't really want to hang out then why pretend? now if i say hi or something she talks but makes it sound like she's busy. I really don't understand girls, is there any ladies out there that can explain why people do this? I'm 24 and she's 22 btw

Some girls are like that. Though maybe one of her closer friends asked to go with her after you asked, and she felt more comfortable going with that person. If you want to get closer to her, try hanging out with her at a gathering with all your friends, seeing as you have the same friends.
Honestly she might have just gotten busy and forgot. I don't know any other explanation, I've never heard of anyone acting that strange. That's not a 'women' thing, that's just her. Ask her about it in person and hopefully she'll give an honest answer.
I think, speaking for myself as a female- sometimes we tend to be almost ADD, whereas something sounds like a fun a** idea one minute and then somethin could happen to change our mood. We could feel like we dont got nothin to wear, a funny shows on tv, we suddwnly feel like doing yoga and eating light, who knows. Maybe shes just flakey or maybe she is shy in person. Its prob good u didnt respond cuz shell prob. Eventually feel like a biotch for canceling and respond to u what happened.
