And what causes them? Weird question I know, but I am curious.
Why do we vomit or get diarrhea? I remember hearing that our bodies are getting rid of vile substances, but then why do we have vomit and diarrhea, which are two different things? What causes them? And at what point in the GI tract do we start to get diarrhea or vomit. Annnnd, why is diarrhea sometimes causes by eating too much of a variety of foods, or unaccustomed foods?
Just curious, thought about this when I had a stomachache today D=

Interesting question.... Here's my GUESS. Gastric disturbances in the esophagus or stomach will result in nausea and possibly vomiting. The same can be true in the rest of the digestive tract. Example: I can get very nauseous when I become severely constipated. If the nausea is bad enough, I will vomit.
On the other hand, I don't believe diarrhea can occur unless the disturbance has reached the small or large intestine.
Hope this makes sense. Will be looking forward to others thoughts.
Well, vomiting is a result of a disturbance in your stomach and it happens quickly. Diarrhea is a result of a disturbance in your intestines, e.g. bacteria in there and stuff like that.
