I want to know if I have ADD before I go to a therapist or something.
But anyways, when I'm class, I can concentrate to my teacher for about a few minutes before I go completely off track and lose focus. I try my hardest to concentrate again but my mind ends up on a whole different subject like 2 minutes later. This keeps happening throughout the class period, even though I try my hardest to focus on my teacher on what he/she is saying, my mind loses focus. This happens in all of my classes, not just the boring ones.
Also when I read a book or article or something, I can read about a paragraph then I "read" without actually reading. Know what I mean? I read the passage but I read with something on my mind. So I'm just reading about nothing. Then I have to go back and read it like 3-4 times until I actually read the whole thing.
I also read up some symptoms and I match quite a few. For instance, I can't sit in a chair without moving every 15 seconds, it's hard for me to remain in place while sitting or laying down, I'm impatient, I can't concentrate like I already mentioned, I go from one unfinished task to another, and a lot others.
Can someone help?

you just described me to a T lol..seriously sounds like A.D.D, when i was in school i would try so hard to focus on what i was reading to pass a test and i never could do it,i couldnt remember what i had read..i am now 37 yr's old and still cannot finish a task, both of my boys have been diagnosed with it and my dad also has it,it runs in families..i just switched my son from ritalin to some stuff i bought at a health food store..and he is doing so much better ..its called EFA blend..no side affects like on the pills..
You first need to stop all sugar, caffeine, and artificial sweeteners ( diet soda etc.) even sugar free gum. Take a B-50 complex vitamin every day. You should see results with these changes. A lot of people that think they have ADD or actually have it just have bad eating habits and poor nutrition and the foods mentioned, plus anything that has food dye in it or artificial anything. These are all strong chemicals that can make your brain hyperactive.
Well you have just described my son!! And he has ADHD!!! I would recommened seeing your doctor who then can refeer you onto a specialist who deals with ADD. Also it could be your diet as a lot of additives etc Can cause this behavior. Start with the diet and perhaps have a look on the internet for additives and how they can cause ADD like behaviour
excuse what ,oh i'm sorry i did not pay attention the first time let me listen again oh i got you this time, maybe if you focus harder the first take you would not have to do it again.Try reading slow so you grasp the words and understanding will come easy.I am a fast reader my self i think fast, i write fast, that's because i am curious to see whats next.Tell your doc. to prescribe some pills for you.
it sounds like you do...
I also have the exact same problem with reading, it sucks too =/
