I know cinnamon lightens hair, but does it work on black hair? And if so, what exactly do I have to do to turn it not exactly brown but in the middle of black and brown?
Honey and cinnamon lighten hair because they possess a very weak form of hydrogen peroxide. You may not get any change. Your best bet would be to use 3% hydrogen peroxide (basic stuff from the store) or lemon juice and apply that to your hair, brush it through so it's evenly spread and sit for 30 minutes in direct sunlight or 15 minutes under a hair dryer. Do this daily. Within a week or two it'll lighten. Also use a good conditioner in the shower, any form of lightening is slightly damaging, though I didn't notice any damage other than some mild dryness.

I think it may turn it a reddish color.
