If they divorce you, you should even notice it on your profile when you go on it, so it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. But no, they don't notify you for any relationship change except when someone is requesting one.
You could also look on your wall feed, and see if it says "____ is single" if it was recent, or you could just ask them, or look on their profile, but it would be easiest if you just looked on your profile.

No it does not, you just kinda have to find out for yourself unless the other person tells you lol.
