Easy spanish help, check my sentences.?
Hello, so for spanish class I am supposed to write sentences about my families activities using the imperfect verb tense. Here is what I have so far:
Mi madre asistía club de lectura por cinco años. Mi padre jugaba ráquetbol, el participaba en muchos partidos.
Is it correct? Do I need to make changes? Please explain any corrections you make. Also would "muchas competencias" sound better than "muchos partidos"?
Update:What I mean is racquetball. Its like tennis but instead of a net you use a wall

Mi madre asistía aun club de lectura el año pasado. Mi padre jugaba ráquetbol, y participaba en muchos partidos.
I don't know what is raquetol? Perhaps you mean tenis?
If you want to say por cinco años, it wouldn't be pretérito imperfecto, it would be : Mi madre asistió a un club de lectura por cinco años (It is not imperfect)
Now, competencias is not the same as partidos, but you can use both.
