Anyone have any favorites between the two parks?
Personally, I feel them coming pretty close and could see why one would choose ether of them. I think Universal may lead slightly for me for some of the rides they have like Men in Black, The Mummy and E.T., etc. and Spider-Man and Jurrasic Park at Island of Adventures but there are a lot at Disney I also like that make them close like Test Track, the Earth and Dinosaur rides at Epcot, also Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain.
There are more but those are just some examples. It could be interesting to see what directions the parks go in ether way.
Update:I was just at Disneyland last week (first time at Disney in California) and Fantasmic was pretty amazing as well as the fireworks, they also had a quality Aladdin show there as well. The atmosphere is pretty amazing too for that reason I think Disney may also win in some ways, Disney does give a kind of magical feeling just being there I think. Could be interesting to see how the Orlando parks compare if I get a chance to go again sometime soon (been a few years now).

Universal is very easy to find your way around but they have long wait times for the rides no matter what and Disney is very hard to find your way around unless you have a map and they are way more involved with there audiences and if you really do have kids go to Disney they really do only have pretty much kiddie rides and Universal is more of a family place for everyone to enjoy
Personally, Disney leads no question.
I think Universal has some great rides. I recently rode Transformers, and loved it. Men in Black is lots of fun, and I could ride Spiderman all day.
Disney though
I would be happy to just sit at a street corner in Disney.
Everythings so adorable, and happy, and just pretty. I love it.
Medium roller coasters are my favorite size, so things like Space Mountain and Everest are great for me.
I love the live shows they have at Disney, and the parades.
I mean, have you seen Fantasmic?
Fantasmic is amazing.
The fireworks at Disney are unparalleled! It's just so good.
I can't spend time in Disney without saying "Can I just live here?"
I went to Universal a few days ago, and while I had a lot of fun I wouldn't rush to get back.
If you are young and then have kids with you then go to Universal...you will love Island of adventures. Disney Land, specially Magic Kingdom is for small children. They dont have thrilling rides at all for adult.
Go to Universal.
Disneyland! Period, its the happiest place on earth! It just bring back your childhood memories and is beautiful and exciting
