When was your first ultrasound? Where they able to tell if its a singleton or multiples?
I am only 12dpo and pregnant. Had BETA on yesterday and my HCG was 40. My doctor is having me go for bloodwork again on Monday to check my HCG levels but I am wondering how soon I would be able to find out if its more than one. (I had multiple follicles so it was a high risk of twins).

You typically have ur 1st ultrasound between 8-12 wks.
If you are expecting multiples , you'll be able to hear both
heartbeats and the ultrasound technician should be able to tell at that point(visibly as well) if you've got more than one baby in the oven!!
Good luck, baby dust!!!!!
I had my first ultrasound at 5 weeks 5 days due to previous miscarriage. We saw the sac and a flashing little light that was his heart beating! I also had my hcg levels tested and my doctor said not to read into the numbers too much as they can vary so much from woman to woman. She said she used them as a marker for when they can see something on the ultrasound. But if you are seeing a fertility specialist, they usually have better ultrasounds. Also, if you have multiples, you should be able to see the sacs. Sometimes though, you may have multiple sacs and only one is developing a baby. Good luck to you and I hope it all goes well! :)
My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks as I was having some implantation bleeding. We could see a sac then, but little more. Still, that one sac was well defined and easily distinguishable. Even then we were certain we were having only one. The follow-up ultrasound at 11 weeks confirmed with with only one heartbeat and one embryo on screen.
Best of luck!!!
Hi i wil be at least 14 weeks an 5 days pregnant when i have my first ultrasound
I had my first ultrasound done at 8weeks 4 days. It was done trans-vaginally (doc says that you get a better picture that way). The doc told me that he prefers to do it in the office at the first prenatal visit to make sure that the baby is developing as it should and to rule out multiples.
if your hCG levels only 40 you can't be very far long hun? that really low? also as early as about 6weeks they can tell you how many babies you are carrying, i was 7weeks 2days when i got my first scan and even got to see a tiny heartbeat and everything and they know it was a singleton....
good luck
I found out at 8 weeks
normaly around 12 weeks
I was eight weeks when they saw my twins.
