girls high school golf?
so i'm going in 9th grade and i need a sport to do and i was like golf sounds fun but the problem is I've never actually played do you think if i stared lessons now i could make the team and how good will all the other girls be because i don't want to do it if i'm going to be the worst and when dose the season start and if you could tell me a little about the sport that would be great

It's possible to learn how to golf quickly, start taking lessons now. I took lessons twice a week for 6 weeks before starting to play. Golf consists of 18 holes, of varying lengths, where you try to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible. Par depends on the length of the hole in yards. There are par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes. Your equipment consists of a driver, woods, irons and a putter. Each club hits the ball a different distance, and when you reach the green you use the putter to hole out. You also have to learn the Rules of Golf.
I don't know your school, how competitive it is in high school golf, how good the other girls are. These will affect your chances of making the team. Some schools have Fall golf, some schools start golf in the Spring. Your competitions will probably involve 9-hole matches. Your best bet is to ask your school's golf coach.
If you don't want to be the worst, then join something you are already good at. I think it would be better if you spent more time learning to read and write so you can advance to the 10th grade after this year.
