I'm trying to figure out how long I have and Best Buy well still replace it. I'm assuming the still part of the shipment they have would still be pron to scratched discs. I haven't had any problem yet, so I was going to play through the game for a month or so and then see what I can do. In the Halo 3 Manual it says the game is warranty for 90 days and you just have to back to an "authorized" Halo 3 retailer and exchange it for another one. I can't see many people that waited in line to get Halo 3. To ship it off to MS for something like 3 weeks to get a new one?

I dont see why you couldnt exchange the busted disc for a brand new one. I'm 99% sure as long as you bring your online confirmation/sales receipt or whatever applies, they'll do an even exchange. I also am 100% sure you're not the only one who will be bringing back a scratched Halo 3 disc.

Since this game is sooo hot right now, be prepared for something like, "Due to understocking or lack of inventory we can only offer you a best buy gift card for you to allow you to purchase your game when a new shipment arrives."

Or you can just wait a few hours, give them a call in the morning, explain your problem and see what they say.

what the guy above me said. Microsoft has recognized this problem with the Limited Edition discs and is replacing damaged discs free of charge.
